Garden Design in Orpington, Kent

The design brief for this small urban garden in Orpington was to create a low maintenance modern space with clean lines. I used a light Cream Porcelain to create the main terraces, steps, copings and lawn edging. Raised Porcelain plinths filled with loose chippings and tall pots were incorporated both sides of the upper terrace in order to create a sense of scale and work well with the down lighters above. High quality synthetic lawn was then laid to complete this low maintenance scheme. The planting was designed with a minimal colour palette and three up-lit Magnolia trees were planting each side to create a sense of symmetry.
