Garden Design in Bromley, South London
The main objective for this garden was to remove the existing swimming pool and create a nice traditional garden for the family to enjoy. As you can see from the before shot the garden was completely demolished to start with. As the client worked from home a new Oak garden room was built at the rear of the garden with stock brick paths leading back to the house. We designed in Oak pergolas to create a sense of scale, interest and shade and softened these with climbing plants. Natural Purbeck retaining walls were built to retain the changes in level which created a beautiful contrast against the stock bricks, planting and Oak. The garden was designed with bold shaping to detract from the gardens formal rectangular shape. Riven Sandstone was used for the main terrace/seating areas and the garden was finished off with a full planting/lighting scheme.
