Garden Design in Farnborough Park, Orpington

The design brief for this garden was to create a modern looking scheme that blended back to their classically contemporary white rendered house.
I decided to go for a formal symmetrical layout with a central water feature. The rear of the garden was screened by a painted pergola and horizontal timber screening with created softness and a sense of scale. The rear garden area was then turned into an astro turf play area for the clients child complete with goal! Planting was a very important factor which enhanced the classic formal layout – this set the house off beautifully. The clients were really pleased with the final result and are very much looking forward to watching the plants develop over time.

Main Materials: Kandla Grey Sandstone slabs, Kandla Grey edging setts, Resin bound gravel paths, Timber horizontal screening, Painted timber pergola, Namgrass Elise astro turf, Grey stacked Slate to clad the water feature topped with contemporary Grey coping stones.
